Presented by P. Randall Kropp, Ph.D., in partnership with Protect International Risk and Safety Services.
This on-demand professional training program on RSVP-SVR Overview is presented by P. Randall Kropp, Ph.D., in partnership with Protect International Risk and Safety Services.
This program focuses on assessing the risk for sexual violence using the Risk for Sexual Violence Protocol (RSVP) and the Sexual Violence Risk-20 (SVR-20). Dr. Kropp teaches participants how to rate risk factors and introduces Version 2 of the SVR-20 (released in 2018). In addition, the case formulation component of the RSVP is discussed and information on how participants can use these measures in practice.
SVR-20 – The Sexual Violence Risk-20 (SVR-20; Boer, Hart, Kropp, & Webster, 1997) is a set of structured professional judgment guidelines for assessing and managing risk for sexual violence. The SVR-20 is used widely and is well-validated.
RSVP – The Risk for Sexual Violence Protocol (RSVP; Hart, Kropp, Laws, Klaver, Logan, & Watt, 2003) is a set of structured professional judgment (SPJ) guidelines for assessing and managing risk for sexual violence. The RSVP incorporates the latest advances in the SPJ approach to risk assessment, including methods for violence risk formulation, scenario planning, and case management planning.
