Certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
80 Hours + 6 months of consultation
Strong and widely applicable empirical basis.
Employ DBT with a variety of difficult clients using a relatively intuitive structure and implementation approach.
During the course of this certification, you will learn how to leverage four key tools to help clients manage painful conflicts, including: 1) mindfulness, 2) distress tolerance, 3) emotional regulation, and 4) interpersonal effectiveness. Originally developed to help those with borderline personality disorders, DBT has been proven useful across a wide array of problems and disorders, from binge-eating to substance abuse to PTSD, and more.
