On Demand | Self-Paced Professional Training

This on-demand professional training program on Violence Risk/Threat Assessment Case Illustrations: Law Enforcement is presented by P. Randall Kropp, Ph.D. in partnership with Protect International Risk and Safety Services.

Case Illustrations are one of the most powerful ways to demonstrate the use of a tool for assessing and managing violence risk and how it can be implemented in practice.

This program focuses on the use of the Spousal Assault Risk Assessment Guide Version 3 (SARA-V3) and the Brief Spousal Assault Form for the Evaluation of Risk (B-SAFER) to assess and manage risk for intimate partner violence in law enforcement settings. The case illustrations highlight both promising practices and challenging issues related to implementing structured professional judgment guidelines in this sector (e.g., considering diversity issues and communicating about the risk of lethal violence).
