Incorporating the MMPI-2-RF in Malingering Determinations
Presented by Martin Sellbom, PhD
This webinar on Incorporating the MMPI-2-RF in Malingering Determinations is presented by Martin Sellbom, PhD.
This intermediate level webinar will discuss the role of the 338-item version of the MMPI-2, the MMPI-2 Restructured Form (MMPI-2-RF) in the assessment of malingering. This webinar will assume background and basic interpretation knowledge of the MMPI-2-RF and forensic assessment. The majority of the time will be devoted to discussing the MMPI-2-RF validity scales used for the assessment of over-reporting of psychopathology and somatic/cognitive complaints and how these scales can be used as evidence for a malingering determination. Research supporting the scales’ use for this purpose will be discussed. The webinar ends with case illustrations.
Upon completion of this webinar you will be able to:
Describe the psychometric findings available to guide MMPI-2-RF interpretation of validity scales assessing over reporting
Describe various considerations for using the MMPI-2-RF in malingering determinations
Describe how to interpret the MMPI-2-RF overreporting validity scales in the context of evaluating for malingering
Custom training options for groups of 5 to 500+
