Alexithymia is a complex psychological trait defined by difficulty with the identification and description of one’s own emotions. Individuals with alexithymia may even struggle to differentiate their emotions from their bodily sensations. 

This trait is a risk factor for a wide array of conditions, including social, emotional, behavioral, and physical health disorders.  Intended for professionals, this program increases awareness of alexithymia, including its implications for screening and intervention in a variety of integrated behavioral health settings.
